2. Scope of Services

 

Renovation Group provides residential, commercial, heritage, and accessibility renovations, including but not limited to:

  • Kitchen & bathroom renovations
  • Home extensions & interior remodelling
  • Heritage restorations & accessibility upgrades
  • Outdoor living structures & cladding installations
  • Commercial fit-outs & strata renovations

All services are subject to project agreements, council approvals (if required), and compliance with Australian Building Standards.

3. Quotations & Payments

 

3.1 Quotations

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Quotes may change due to material cost fluctuations, council regulations, or client-requested modifications.
  • A detailed breakdown of services, inclusions, and exclusions will be provided.

3.2 Deposits & Payments

  • A deposit (typically 10-30%) is required before work commences.
  • Payments are scheduled in progress stages and must be completed before moving to the next phase.
  • Late payments may result in project delays and additional fees.

4. Client Responsibilities

 

  • Provide accurate project details, access to the property, and necessary approvals.
  • Ensure utility connections (water, electricity, gas) are available during construction.
  • Approve designs, materials, and project scope before work commences.
  • Communicate any changes in a timely manner (additional costs may apply).

5. Project Timelines & Delays

 

Estimated project timelines will be provided but are subject to change due to:

  • Unforeseen site conditions (e.g., structural issues, hazardous materials).
  • Weather conditions affecting outdoor work.
  • Permit and approval delays from local councils.

Renovation Group is not liable for delays caused by third-party suppliers, council approvals, or unexpected on-site issues.

6. Variations & Additional Work

 

  • Any changes requested after the contract is signed will be considered variations.
  • Variations must be agreed upon in writing, and additional costs may apply.
  • Additional work outside the original scope will be quoted and invoiced separately.

7. Warranty & Liability

 

7.1 Workmanship Warranty

  • Renovation Group provides a statutory warranty period as per Australian Consumer Law and NSW building regulations.
  • Defects caused by workmanship issues will be rectified within the warranty period at no additional cost.

7.2 Limitations of Liability

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing property defects or damage due to misuse, neglect, or external factors.
  • Renovation Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages beyond the agreed project scope.

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

 

  • If the Client cancels the project before commencement, a non-refundable deposit applies to cover preparation costs.
  • Cancellations after work begins will incur charges for work completed and any materials ordered.
  • Refunds or credits will be processed on a case-by-case basis in compliance with Australian Consumer Law.

9. Privacy & Confidentiality

 

  • Client information, project details, and communication are kept strictly confidential.
  • We do not share personal data with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

10. Dispute Resolution

 

  • Any disputes should be first addressed through direct communication with Renovation Group.
  • If an agreement cannot be reached, the matter may be referred to NSW Fair Trading or relevant regulatory authorities.

11. Governing Law

 

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
  • Any legal proceedings must be filed within the jurisdiction of NSW courts.

12. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

 

  • Renovation Group reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Clients will be notified of significant changes where applicable.
